2016 7th Annual Climbathon

Climbathon photo clusterFirst Descents gathered on April 2nd to CLIMB for COURAGE. The 7th annual Climbathon brought our community together for a day of overcoming fears, supporting each other’s goals, and making it possible to send more young adults impacted by cancer on outdoor adventures that give back so much of what cancer tries to take away – strength, resolve, and spirit.

We raised over $30,000 to help young adult cancer fighters and survivors find a little courage of their own by attending a First Descents program.  A BIG shout out goes to the NYC team at the Cliffs at LIC for winning the fundraising challenge and winning the extra Trib event in their community. They collectively raised $7,767 for First Descents programs!  Kendall Cliffs came in a close second at $6,350!  Thank you to everyone who fundraised, donated, and climbed with us. See you all next year!
