Key FD Numbers

We’re often asked “I’d like to sponsor a camper, how much does it cost to send someone to camp?”

Our answer is: A $1,000 donation gives a young adult fighter or survivor the experience of an FD camp!

For 2011 that number represents the average hard costs of an FD experience (which are actually $1,056.) This covers all the hard costs associated with the actual camp experience (meals, outfitter costs, lodging, supplies, etc.) What it does not cover are administrative costs (overhead) and transportation costs. We round down to the $1,000 number as a means of communicating the amount that will give the experience of an FD camp to a young adult fighter or survivor– after all, $1,000 is a lot easier to relate to and remember than $1,056, right?

FD would also like to thank all of our corporate sponsors and partners who provide us with products and resources which help us to keep expenses down, and raise additional funds and awareness!
