Emma hails from Salt Lake City, Utah where she grew up skiing in the Wasatch Mountains and camping in the deserts of Southern Utah. Prior to joining First Descents, Emma worked with LEAP Therapeutic Wilderness Programs and Big Sky Youth Empowerment, where she helped implement and raise funds for outdoor recreation and community-based interventions. Emma brings 10 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with a particular focus on grant writing and institutional giving. She is passionate about connecting people to the causes they believe in, and enjoys introducing new folks to First Descents.
