Out Living It Podcast Show Flow & Details:

We’re thrilled to host you on the show to share your story! Please read the instructions below carefully.

About The Podcast

The Out Living It Podcast is all about amplifying stories of healing, transformation, and growth, and sharing resources to support members of the FD community on their journey. Ultimately, our goal is to help listeners answer the question “what does Out Living It mean to me?”

Whether coping with a recent medical diagnosis, cancer or other serious health condition, dealing with loss, or simply navigating the constellation of challenges and life-defining moments we all experience, we’ll dive into this powerful question during our time together.

Our guests range from program alumni, to influencers in advocacy and medicine, to leaders, creatives and elite adventure athletes who share our belief in the healing power of adventure.

At the end of each episode, we hope our listeners feel a sense of belonging and empowerment by tuning in and hearing your personal story.

Thanks to our Sponsors!

Special thanks to our friends at the I’m Not Done Yet Foundation for helping to launch this exciting new effort! Interested in sponsoring an episode of the Out Living It Podcast? Contact First Descents to learn more about our sponsorship opportunities.

On the Out Living It Podcast, we will get into the nitty gritty. So don’t be afraid to get vulnerable, laugh, cry. Our community has been through it all and these are the conversations our listeners want to hear. Here are some of the questions we might cover:

  • Can you share your first experience with adventure or in the outdoors?
  • How did you learn about / what’s the extent of your involvement with First Descents ?
  • How has experiencing illness / loss / adversity shaped your life?
  • What is your life-defining moment? The one you consider your greatest moment or perhaps your biggest turning point. It could be your highest moment or your lowest.
  • During any dark times, was there any particular motivation that helped you push forward? Any support systems you leaned on or sources of inspiration from where you drew strength?

And of course…

  • What does Out Living It mean to you?
