Support HERO RECHARGE and Extend the Healing Power of Adventure to Frontline Healthcare Workers
First Descents has been named a beneficiary of Tap Cancer Out – a nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for cancer fighting organizations on behalf of the Jiu-Jitsu aka “grappling” community. Outdoor athletes like surfers and climbers have been cross-training in the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for decades and we’re stoked to see this sport mobilize and support those coping with cancer!
On December 12, 2020 Tap Cancer Out is hosting the first ever worldwide Global Grappling Day! At this virtual global event, pairs of grapplers will roll for one hour straight in a fight for all the cancer warriors that are in the fight of their lives.
