Growing up in Loveland, Shea got to experience the Colorado outdoors while camping, hiking, and traveling all over the state. This instilled a love of outdoor recreation and led her to receive a degree in Recreation Management from Metro State University in Denver. Some consider her a jack of all trades as she’ll try anything. Shea enjoys woodworking, yoga, skydiving, building Earthships, reading anything by Michael Pollan, and attending concerts. She most recently worked at Skydive Orange Skies where she worked directly with the owner to help grow and manage the business from day one of operations. Shea has felt drawn to pursue a career in the non-profit world ever since spending a gap year serving in AmeriCorps NCCC and is stoked to have joined the dedicated team here at First Descents.
