Boulder Canyon

Boulder, CO

Join local community members Ashley (“Cyclone”) and David (“Radar”) for an awesome day of outdoor rock climbing with Colorado Mountain School (CMS). Whether it’s your first time climbing or you’re a pro, it’ll be a fun day hanging out with the Denver area FD community!

Saturday, August 15th | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

*This program is now on a waitlist. You are still welcome to sign up. We will reach out if a spot opens up.*

Important Details

  • Location: We will meet at Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder at 8:00 AM to get all geared up, and then we will caravan up to Boulder Canyon together.
  • Activity: Professionally Guided Outdoor Rock Climbing with CMS. The area we are climbing is called Nip and Tuck. It is south-facing, but well-shaded.
  • Cost: $100 per person, which includes gear. Sending a huge THANK YOU to CMS for making this discounted rate possible! FD will reach out about payment after you sign up.
  • Capacity: 6, 12, 18, or 24 people. We need a minimum of 6 people to make this adventure happen, which will be hosted with 1 CMS guide. If we get another 6 people on the waitlist, the group will become 12, and 1 additional CMS guide will join the group, etc.
  • What to bring: Please plan to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sun protection. Please also plan to wear clothing comfortable to climb in and comfortable shoes for the short hike into the climbing area (it’s about a 5-10 minute hike in).

Whether it’s your first time joining or you’ve been to a bunch of FD meetups – it’ll be a fun day hanging out with local FD community members in the area. Feel free to invite along friends/family (18+), as anyone is welcome to attend Community Adventures!

To RSVP for the Boulder Climbing adventure, please click the button at the top of the page! FD will reach out about payment or waitlist status.

All attendees are hereby notified of the Community Adventure disclaimer. Community Adventures are a simple way to gather your First Descents family and out live it together, but that’s not all First Descents offers. In addition to awesome meetups, we provide life-changing, healing adventures for young adults dealing with cancer, MS and other serious health issues.
