Join local FD Community members Rachel (“Canoe”) and Leilani for a day of Dragon Boat Racing in their cancer survivor boat at the Riverdale Regional Regatta! After the races, there will be a night market with food, performances, and a drone show. This race is a true beginner’s race and is open to anyone – no experience needed. Registration deadline is September 11th!

Important Details
- Location: Mann-Nyholt Lake at Riverdale Regional Park in Brighton (Campground Rd, Brighton, CO 80601)
- Activity: Dragon boat racing followed by a night market with food, performances, and a drone show. Boat, paddles, and PFD will be provided.
- Cost: $20 – this fee covers your race registration and any practices you are able to attend. After you have signed up with FD, please fill out this form.
- Community: Oncology. Not a cancer survivor? Come join us for practice! We have other teams in our dragon boat club we can connect you with. Everyone is welcome at practices. We also may be able to get you into the race depending on available spots.
- What to bring: Sun protection and water. Be sure to wear athletic, splashable clothing – you can wear a swimsuit, but it’s not necessary.
- Other things to note: We will have several practice opportunities before the race. It is NOT required to attend every practice before the race – we just ask that you make an effort to attend at least one practice. Please note, there is a $10 ($15 before Labor Day) day pass fee per vehicle to enter the Aurora Reservoir park. You will need to cover your day pass fee – we will share opportunities to carpool or park in a nearby neighborhood and walk in for free ahead of practices.
