Join our friends over at Living Journeys to celebrate Out Living It Day with an epic Crested Butte Summit Hike. This is their 27th Anniversary Summit Hike…what better way to celebrate Out Living It Day! Saturday, July 25th | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Important Details

• Location: Base Area, Mount Crested Butte
• Activity: Choose your own hiking adventure!
  • Big Hike: 9.9 mi round-trip hike from Mt Crested Butte base (9,350 to 12,162 ft).
  • Moderate Hike: Ride the Silver Queen chairlift to 11,340 ft, then hike 2 miles round trip to the summit.
  • Casual Hike: Enjoy the views from the chairlift, walk around top of the lift, and then return to join us for brunch.
• Schedule:
  • Check-in open from 7:00am – 12:00pm
  • Pastries and coffee from 8:00am – 10:00am
  • Silver Queen Lift runs from 9:00am – 2:00 pm
  • Community lunch from 12:30pm – 2:30pm
• Cost: $40, which includes a light breakfast, lunch, a goodie bag, aid-station at the top of the sliver queen with snacks, and your lift ticket! Be sure to use this code to get $5 off: FirstDescents2026. After you have registered with FD, be sure to pay and register with Living Journeys HERE.
• What to bring: Sun protection, comfortable walking/hiking shoes, and water
• Post Hike Fun: After the hike, enjoy lunch back at the base!

Whether it’s your first time joining or you’ve been to a bunch of FD meetups – it’ll be a fun day hanging out with local FD community members in the area. Feel free to invite along friends/family (18+), as anyone is welcome to attend Community Adventures!
