Join local FD community member Janet aka “Chopper” for an epic Crested Butte Summit Hike to celebrate Out Living It Day on July 27th! This awesome opportunity is through our friends over at Living Journeys, an amazing cancer support organization in Gunnison County. This is their 25th Anniversary Summit Hike…what better way to celebrate Out Living It Day!

You can learn more about the summit hike here. The cost is $25 per person which includes brunch, a goodie bag, and a chairlift ticket.

Make sure you bring sun protection, plenty of water, and wear comfortable hiking shoes.

Below are the hiking options from the event webpage:

From hardcore athletes to casual visitors, everyone is welcome at the 25th Summit Hike! Choose the hike that suits you:
– Hardcore: 9.9 mi round-trip hike from Mt Crested Butte base (9,350 to 12,162 ft).
– Moderate: Ride the Silver Queen chairlift to 11,340 ft, then hike 2 miles round trip to the summit.
– Casual: Enjoy the views from the chairlift, walk around top of the lift, and then return to join us for brunch.


Whether it’s your first time joining or you’ve been to a bunch of FD meetups, it’ll be a fun day hanging out with local FD community members.
