Join Local FD member AJ (“Goose”) for a fun Giant City State Park hiking adventure followed by lunch!

Important Details

• Location: Giant City State Park Visitor’s Center
• Activity: Hike through the gorgeous scenery of Giant City State Park filled with huge bluffs of sandstone formed 12,000 years ago. We’ll pick the hike day-of based on how the group’s feeling
• Cost: Free!
• What to bring: Comfortable hiking/walking shoes, a hat, water and long pants in case of ticks and poison ivy
• Post-Hike Fun (Optional): Lunch at the Giant City Lodge or a local restaurant. There will also be an opportunity to visit the Makanda Boardwalk Shops!

Whether it’s your first time joining or you’ve been to a bunch of FD meetups – it’ll be a fun day hanging out with local FD community members in the area. Feel free to invite along friends/family (18+), as anyone is welcome to attend Community Adventures!
