Join local FD community member Sam (“Tawanda”) for an awesome hike in Nerstrand Big Woods State Park, followed by lunch at The Ole Store Restaurant.

Important Details

• Location: Nerstrand Big Woods State Park. We will meet HERE.
• Activity: Hiking the Nerstrand Beaver Loop trail – A 2.5-mile hike (AllTrails)
• Cost: $7 vehicle permit (or a MN state park pass).  All vehicles entering the park require a vehicle permit. Due to poor cell service at the park, we recommend you purchase permits online before you arrive. After you buy an online permit, you must display its confirmation number, date of purchase, and whether it is a one-day or a year-round permit on your vehicle’s dashboard. You may also purchase permits at the visitor center during operating hours.
• What to bring: water bottle and snacks
• Post Hike Fun: Lunch at The Ole Store Restaurant (about 20 minutes northwest) for anyone who wants to join!

Whether it’s your first time joining or you’ve been to a bunch of FD meetups, it’ll be a fun day hanging out with local FD community members.

Feel free to invite along friends/family (18+), as anyone is welcome to attend Community Adventures!
