Celebrate Out Living It Day with Local FD Community member Dominic (“Sprocket”) for a fun Flagstaff hiking adventure day in Flagstaff! 

Saturday, July 26 | 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Important Details

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Hike: Fatman’s Loop Trail

    • Challenge yourself with this 2.5-mile loop offering beautiful views of Flagstaff. The trail winds over a 500,000-year-old lava flow and passes ancient alligator junipers—some more than 900 years old. Learn more about the trail HERE. Bring plenty of water and a snack. The hike should take about 1.5 hours. 
    • What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, sturdy hiking shoes (good traction and ankle support!), water and snacks
    •  We will meet at the trailhead at 9am – 5098 US-89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Brunch at MartAnne’s Burrito Palace

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Free Time

    • Explore Flagstaff at your own pace. Grab a buddy or wander solo.

3:00 PM – 4:45 PM | Bushmaster Park Hangout

5:00 PM – 6:15 PM | Dinner at Cornish Pasty Co.

7:00 PM | King Lear at Lowell Observatory

    • Our fellow FD alum Dyps will be performing in King Lear! Come cheer her on and soak up some Shakespeare.

Meals are self-funded; Activities, snacks and drinks are provided at Bushmaster Park

Other things to note: If enough people are interested in staying overnight before or after the event, we can look into getting a shared Airbnb. If you’d like to be included in that conversation, please email [email protected].

Whether it’s your first time joining or you’ve been to a bunch of FD meetups – it’ll be a fun day hanging out with local FD community members in the area. Feel free to invite along friends/family (18+), as anyone is welcome to attend Community Adventures!
