Marcia Donziger is the CEO of Vital Biz Consulting and former Chief Culture Officer at the Cancer Support Community HQ. In 2007, she founded MyLifeLine Cancer Foundation with a vision to transform the cancer experience through community and connection. As an ovarian cancer survivor diagnosed at the age of 27, Marcia knew firsthand how a strong support network was critical to her healing and recovery. MyLifeLine provided a digital social network which has now served 300,000 people impacted by cancer. At MyLifeLine, Marcia was honored with the John Hickenlooper Unsung Hero Award and the Denver Channel’s Everyday Hero Award.
In January 2018, Marcia led MyLifeLine to merge with the Cancer Support Community (CSC) to scale its digital services in a groundbreaking way. Post-merger, Marcia served as their Vice President of Digital Strategy and Fundraising. After COVID hit, Marcia’s role evolved to the Chief Culture Officer position to help the organization address challenges related to higher-than-normal turnover and employee burnout, stress, and overwhelm. Based on her background, Marcia uses her expertise to help leaders and teams proactively create exceptional employee experiences that lead to high retention, high morale, and better business outcomes.
In 2023, Marcia was honored with the Outstanding Leader Award at the Health 2.0 conference in Las Vegas. Marcia’s personal & professional memoir was released in 2023: You Are Meant For Great Things; My Story of Turning Setbacks Into Stepping Stones. She shares her story to help cancer survivors overcome adversity and build resilience.
