Celebrate Out Living It Day with Local FD member Kate (“Miracle”) with a fun Baltimore hiking adventure at Patuxent Research Refuge! Dogs are allowed in the Refuge, but must be on leash.

Important Details

  • Location: Patuxent Research Refuge. Meet in front of the Visitor Center: National Wildlife Visitor Center, 10901 Scarlet Tanager Loop, Laurel, MD 20708
  • Activity: Hiking either the Cash Lake Loop Trail (AllTrails) or Patuxent Wildlife Refuge Loop Trail (AllTrails). 
  • Cost: Free! 
  • What to bring: Sun protection, sturdy hiking shoes (good traction and ankle support!), water and snacks, Picnic Lunch. 
  • Post-Hike Fun (Optional): After the hike, we’ll enjoy a nice Picnic lunch in the Refuge!

Whether it’s your first time joining or you’ve been to a bunch of FD meetups – it’ll be a fun day hanging out with local FD community members in the area. Feel free to invite along friends/family (18+), as anyone is welcome to attend Community Adventures!
