This holiday season, our goal is to raise $125,000 to help fund transformative adventures for more than 2,000 young adults impacted by cancer and MS through core programs and community adventures in the year ahead.
JOIN US FOR A 2025 HEALING ADVENTURE!
Located in the famous Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, our Hood River programs are the perfect introduction to whitewater kayaking. You won’t be able to beat the intoxicating thrill of kayaking down glacial runoff from a 12,000-foot volcano so trust us when we say you’ll be amazed by the natural landscape and vistas surrounding you in this program location.
You’ll spend 4 days kayaking on the crystal clear White Salmon River (which runs right through your beautiful lodge in Trout Lake) with our long-standing guides from Wet Planet Outfitters. After a full day of kayaking, stretch out at the lodge while enjoying views of Mt. Adams and chef-prepared home-cooked meals, before capping each night around the campfire with new friends.
Registration is open! Please fill out an inquiry if you are new to First Descents or log in to your FD Portal to sign up for a program!
