Stand-up paddleboarding on the Upper C was an incredible trip! Learning to paddleboard down a river was quite the experience. Approaching rapids I’d think “why the hell am i standing up” and inevitably I’d fall and try managing from whatever position I fell into. But by the end I felt so much more comfortable attacking the rapids standing up. In the down time it was great being able to catch up with old and new FD friends. Talking about cancer experiences, life, and forgetting some of the old worries by just enjoying the relaxing nature of the river.
